Give Me Liberty

Liberty is the 4th concept of the DeNicola Brothers Concepts, joining the ranks of Ruvo (Greenlawn and Port Jefferson), La Tavola (Sayville) and Del Fuego (St. James, Babylon and Patchogue) as an integral part of the restaurant family. Located at 429 N. Country Rd. in St. James, NY, Liberty took the place of the original Del Fuego after Del Fuego relocated to a larger location in December of 2016. Expanding into the adjacent space, Liberty doubled in size from the original Del Fuego. The menu serves up classic comfort dishes with a modern twist – everything from specialty burgers, flatbreads, and shakes to southern style fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. But when you walk into Liberty, you don’t find your average burger joint. You find industrial type cement floors with metal booths, a sleek granite bar top, retro styled light fixtures, and an entire wall devoted to all different style clocks (all set to 5 o’clock, because its 5 o’clock somewhere). This concept was designed by owner Joe DeNicola, who gained his inspiration from his late father, James DeNicola Sr.’s artwork. You can find DeNicola’s artwork hung up on the large floor to ceiling wall space inside Liberty. One of his larger pieces, titled Ms. America, is where the name Liberty derived from.
